The following list of guidance packages will help you to make the right career decision for you. You will need to contact your local Connexions centre to gain access to each package, as they are all password protected.

Careerscape Online provides information on education, training and the world of work. It has detailed information on over 1,800 career titles. Each career entry offers relevant information such as work activities, entry routes and training, pay and opportunities and further information with web and email links.

Exodus is a comprehensive and easy to use database of international careers information. It provides an all in one gateway to opportunities around the world, including information about Gap Years, Studying, Working, Volunteering and Living in countries worldwide. It also provides direct access to websites of relevant and useful organisations e.g. embassies, gap year organisations etc.

Funderfinder
FunderFinder is a small UK charity producing software and other resources, mainly for grant-seekers. They specialise in information and advice about charitable trusts and foundations that fund in the UK. Funderfinder (People in Need) keeps track of charitable trusts and foundations that give grants to individual people in the UK. Some of the funders are interested in funding for educational purposes; some for social need like poverty, ill health and disability.

Job Explorer Database (JED) is suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, and contains a wealth of information on over 830 jobs (1900 career titles). JED’s carefully planned quizzes help users get on with exploring careers and thinking about what will and won’t suit them.

Kudos Online offers a flexible way of accessing careers matching and information. Kudos Online provides individuals with a personalised list of career suggestions and up-to-date information on over 1,750 career titles. Information can also be transferred quickly and easily between user and adviser, and responses can be saved for a later date.
