What do you think?
The most important thing about Connexions is that because it’s a service for young people, young people decide what they want from the service. That’s where you come in. There’s always the opportunity to get involved with Connexions, and to have a say about what you want in your area. There’s also courses you could do with us, we could help you to find a job, a college course, a local group to get involved in, support for a project you want to start… the list goes on and we’ll be there offering advice or pointing you in the right direction to get the support you want and need.
The Connexions Humber Youth Board is a group of young people from across the region who meet up regularly and advise the main Executive Board about how they think Connexions services should be delivered, as well as getting involved in lots of great projects. It’s fun, informal and the Youth Board are always looking for new representatives. Here are just some of the advantages of getting involved:
·Great for your CV
·Good fun
·Chance to meet people and make friends
·Get your and other young people’s views heard
·Build confidence
·Access training
·Try new things
·Go on trips
·Talk about your area
·Recruit staff that work with and for Children and Young People
