Millennium Volunteers

What is MV

Millennium Volunteers are young people aged 16-24 who give up some of their free time to help local communities. You might find them coaching a school football team, working at a community radio station or helping create a garden for local residents.

MV gives you the chance to build on what you’re interested in by getting involved in a project that will also help the community at the same time.

Not only is it great fun and very rewarding to make a difference, but volunteers also get recognised for their service: there’s a 100 hour award signed by the Government minister for Young People and Learning, plus an Excellence Award for 200 hours service signed by the Secretary of State for Education and Skills.

MV helps young people develop and is a positive activity to include on college, university or job applications.
